About Me

I am a doctoral candidate in the department of sociology at the Ohio State University. My teaching and research agendas reflect my on-going interests in gender and race stratification, social movements, and gender and sexuality. My current research focus on gender and race inequalities in the housing arena.

My interest in issues of stratification and discrimination stem from my work as a civil rights investigator for the Ohio Civil Rigths Commission. For nearly six years I worked for the OCRC investigating claims of discrimination based on age, race, sex, national origin, ancestry, religion, disability, familial status and retaliation in the workplace and housing. These interests were further developed during my graduate career.
